Welcome to Cynergin

We have a wealth of experience with energy and carbon management within the NHS, most notably in the acute hospital sector.

We have completed 15 major acute hospital energy services (ESCO) projects and have several more in the later stages of development. Typical capital values range from £1-10m pounds with a typical contract duration of 10-20 years.

One of the projects that we created, at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham, was recently awarded the 2008 Sustainable Development Award by the Combined Heat and Power Association (CHPA).

Our solutions vary by technology but are usually multi-technology service contracts in which the capital repayments are included within the annual service charge. The contract is usually structured to provide guaranteed and underwritten savings in utility expenditure and related budgets so that the entire project is self-funding or cash-releasing for the customer. Technologies typically included are boiler retrofit and local generation (centralised and distributed CHP), controls upgrades and BEMS, lighting retrofits, and various other energy efficiency improvement measures tailored to the customers specific needs.

Two of our projects have been awarded NHS Best Practice Awards for Energy Efficiency
