Cynergin are pleased to announce that they have received accreditation
from the Carbon Trust under the Carbon Management Energy Efficiency (CMee)
Programme. This is a company-wide accreditation and requires a high degree
of expertise in Carbon and Energy Management across a broad range of markets
and technologies. Qualities such as strategic capability, change management
and delivery capabiliy are fundamental as well as a track record of delivering
major energy and carbon management projects.
This accreditation is in addition to the consultant-specific accrediations
already held by key members of staff.
The Carbon Trust has recently expanded its Consultant Accreditation Scheme
to broaden the range of expertise across its consultant network and improve
service delivery to businesses and public sector organisations looking
to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
The Programme will create a robust network providing organisations working
with the Carbon Trust access to expertise across technical, non-technical,
business and change management consultancy. The Accreditation Scheme,
effective from March 2007, comprises four Accreditation Categories representing
groups of related Carbon Trust products; Carbon Opportunity Identification,
Carbon Solution Development, Low Carbon Design Advice and Carbon Management.
Tim Lancaster, Director of Operations commented: “The threat of climate
change means the drive to reduce carbon emissions is now essential for
all organisations. The Carbon Trust continually strives to improve the
effectiveness and range of services we offer. By expanding our accreditation
scheme we are looking to attract the breadth of top consulting talent
necessary to help us give the best business advice. The range of services
we offer and the diverse organisations we work with need to be supported
by a consultant network equipped with expertise in the right areas. We
are confident this initiative will help us move forward in the drive to
a low carbon economy.” Nick Ray, Director of Cynergin Consultants, was
delighted by the outcome. “We are very pleased to receive this accreditation.
We are a process-driven company with considerable experience in many aspects
of energy and carbon management inlcuding ESCO contracts, PFI and Carbon
Management programmes. We have recently produced the business case for
the Carbon Masterplan for the Natural History Museum and its partners
at the South Kensington Cultural & Academic Estate which secured £2.9m
of HM Treasury support. We believe that this project, together with our
experience with ESCO contracts, puts us in a strong position to assist
many organisations develop and implement their Carbon and Energy Management
Programmes.”
